Jumia is currently operating  in eight countries in Africa : Algeria, Nigeria, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Kenya, Morocco, Nigeria and Tunisia. 

With an average of 15 million monthly visitors in Jumia Kenya only, what greater opportunity to increase your sales than to use an existing trusted online marketplace. 

In order to start selling in Jumia, you will have to register first and you will need the following:

  1. Business Permit.
  2. Personal KRA PIN /Business Vat 
  3. Business KRA PIN certificate
  4. KRA PIN Certificate/ VAT registration certificate
  5. Personal National Identification
  6. Bank account details 
  7. Phone no.
  8. Email address

Step one

Head over to JUMIA  Seller Center  and you will be prompted to 

  1. Select your country – if you want to  sell in a specific country that you reside in
  2. Select if you are a global seller –  you reside outside the eight countries that Jumia has established its presence.

Step Two

You will be redirected to page where you register your login credentials 

  1. Your email and phone number
  2. Password

These details will be used when you try to sign in the next time

Step Three

You will be in the Vendor Hub Page where you will fill out the Seller Account  details

  1.   Shop Name
  2. Type of business: Company, partnership or sole proprietorship
  3. Name and phone no. of the account manager
  4. Email address and recommended password

Step Four

Here, you will be required to enter the business information like:

  1. The KRA PIN certificate to show you are eligible to pay taxes(Scanned copy to attach)
  2. Business permit to prove that you are registered to do business in Kenya (Scanned copy to attach)
  3. Your personal National ID no (Scanned copy to attach)
  4. Personal KRA PIN (Scanned copy to attach)

Step Five

You will have to key in your preferred mode of payment  i.e Bank account details where you want the money received from your online sales will be credited to you by Jumia

Step Six

A quick summary of all the required  filled out details will be displayed and you will accept the terms and conditions  of the Jumia.

Step Seven

Successfully Registered!

You can now start selling by listing the items on your Jumia Shop.
